(700 WLW)- Earlier this month..District Four officers responded to a report of a person shot near the intersection of E. McMillan and Vine Streets. Responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by the Cincinnati Fire Department where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Thomas Grassman, 37 years of age.
On June 26, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Mr. Verland Jones (31 years old) on an open Murder warrant for the death of Mr. Grassman.
The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is on-going.
