(Cincinnati, Oh.)--A local youth baseball camp gets underway Wednesday. The Cincinnati Steam and Cincinnati Police Department’s Cincinnati Police Youth Baseball Camp and Shop with a Cop Program, will be on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 9:30 am to 1:00 p.m.
The camp pairs Collegiate Baseball players assigned to the Cincinnati Steam Summer League Team and Cincinnati Police Officers with area youth.
The Camp aims to teach kids the importance of a healthy and drug /violence free lifestyle by embracing the fundamentals of baseball and positive life choices.
The camp includes baseball instructions by Cincinnati Steam coaches and players, games, positive messaging. This year’s program includes 100 campers. The camp will be at the Western Hills High School’s Max McCleary Field ; 2144 Ferguson Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238
The Shop with a Cop program will be for youth between the ages of 8 to 13.
