Covington Police responded to 39 West 26th Street for a report of a person shot just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning. When officers arrived they located the victim, 20-year-old Zachary Pouncy. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Covington, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Detectives and officers quickly developed information which led to the arrest of 20-year-old Dhezon Gray. (pictured below) Gray was still on scene at 39 West 26th Street when he was detained. He was charged with Manslaughter 2nd Degree and was taken to the Kenton County Jail.
