( Cincinnati, OH ) - A Northside man was arrested Monday for Trafficking in Marijuana and related Weapons Charges.
The Hamilton County Sheriff says Cornelius Tidwell was taken into custody, after agents with the Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit intercepted 132 pounds of high grade Marijuana as well multiple assault type weapons and handguns.
Many of the weapons were reported stolen and had high capacity magazines. The estimated street value of the Marijuana was over $500,000.
Police say this seizure and the arrest of Tidwell disrupted a large organization distributing Marijuana from California to Cincinnati.
Tidwell is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center where bond was set at $600,000. Tidwell is expected to be charged with additional charges in the coming days.
