Loveland Leaders Want To Repair Burned Historic Buildings

(Loveland, Oh) According to a press release from the City of Loveland,  the Downtown Business District experienced a serious electrical fire early this morning impacting three buildings on West Loveland Avenue. The city reports that officials are working with a structural engineer to determine the best course of action to secure the buildings.

The fire was limited to one side of the 200 block of West Loveland, all other downtown buildings are safe and open.  West Loveland Avenue has been re-opened to traffic.

The city manager said that it's their desire to save these historic structures and will work with the building owners to make this happen.

“This is a tragic event but the City of Loveland is a very strong community and will work together to repair this part of our downtown”, said City Manager, David Kennedy.  

City leaders are thankful that the fire caused no injuries or loss of life and salute the efforts of the City’s first responders.
