( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- The 14th Annual Hunger Walk and 5K Run, hosted by the Freestore Foodbank, is set to kick off at 9AM on Memorial Day.
You are able to register online on their website until 2PM on Friday, May 26, with a $25 entry fee to receive a T-shirt or with $20 without getting a T-shirt. If registering online, you can pick up your race packet and T-shirt at their location at 1250 Tennessee Avenue. You're also able to register the day of the race in person, but you must be there by 7AM.
If you are unable to run or walk in person, you can still register, donate, and do a virtual walk on the Freestore Foodbank website. The race starts at the Banks, goes into Covington, and then back across the bridge into downtown Cincinnati. An after party will also be held for those participating.
The Freestore Foodbank stresses that just one entry fee of $20 will buy 75 meals for hungry people in the community. Last year, enough money was raised to pay for 700,000 meals.
