( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- In the morning of May 24, a man was shot by a male suspect, now known to be Michael Evans, from out of state, on McMicken Avenue in Over-the-Rhine. He then is said to have fled the scene in a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Just after noon, after police were tracking Evans, police in plain clothes reportedly found him in the area of Eden Avenue and East University Avenue in Corryville. The officers then tracked Evans down behind the Corryville Recreation Center.
The officers reportedly gave multiple commands to Evans to surrender, and when he showed a handgun, officers fired upon him and struck him, reportedly in the lower part of his body.
Michael Evans was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the male shooting victim in Over-The-Rhine was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, despite being shot multiple times.
