Police: Officer Treated because of 'Illicit Substance'

( Cincinnati ) - Update: Cincinnati Police say the officer has been released from UC Medical. No other specifics have been released. They continue to investigate.

 Not many details have been released, but a police officer is recovering after some kind of exposure.

Cincinnati Police announced the officer suffered some king of "lightheaded" reaction after coming into contact with an "unknown illicit substance." He was taken to UC Medical Center where he's expected to recover.

The incident reportedly happened during a traffic stop somewhere in Police District 1, which includes Over-the-Rhine and the Central Business District. 

We're waiting on specifics from police.
