( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- With large local events like Taste of Cincinnati coming up, the terror attack in Manchester could put some event-goers on high alert. However, from a law enforcement standpoint, all is well.
Lt. Steve Saunders of CPD says that their department has been fully informed by federal agencies about any potential for local threats. He also says that police and fire always have big events like Taste of Cincinnati covered very well, from patrols to K9 units to traffic cops to help vehicles flow in and out of the event easier.
Lt. Saunders does say that the police rely on event-goers to be the eyes and ears of law enforcement. He says, though it's an old phrase, "If you see something, say something." He wants everyone at any local event to keep their eyes and ears open so that they can keep the events safe for everyone.
