Police Make Arrest In Covington Shooting

(Covington, Ky)  Covington Police arrest one man and are searching for another in shooting that happened back on Friday May 19, 2017. 

Officers responded to 514 Patton Street for a report of a person shot. Responding officers located  35-year-old Robert A. Evans of Covington at that location suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to UC medical Center.

Officers on scene quickly developed suspect descriptions of two people involved in the shooting who fled the scene prior to police arrival. A perimeter was established along the flood wall from Riverside Drive south to 12th Street. After a lengthy search, one suspect in the shooting was arrested and another man not believed to be involved in the shooting was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

The suspect arrested was 28-year-old Larry Darnell Dyer (top photo). He is being charged with Complicity to Assault 1 st Degree (Handgun) and is currently lodged in the Kenton County Jail.

Police are still looking for the alleged shooter Michael Powell (bottom photo). A warrant for his arrest was issued through Kenton County, Kentucky for the charge of Assault in the 1st Degree (Handgun). This individual is to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
