Dealer of "Gray Death" Arrested In Deerfield Township

(Deerfield Twp., Oh )  The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the overdose death of a Deerfield Township man. Detectives found 33-year-old Joseph J. Krouse dead from an apparent overdose at his Quail Lake Drive, in Deerfield Township back on May 20, 2017.

After speaking with witnesses at the home, it was discovered he had likely overdosed on “gray death,” a deadly combination of heroin, carfentanil, and fentanyl.  After learning who had sold the gray death to him, the detectives set up an undercover operation to attempt to purchase more of the gray death from the same dealer. Several hours later, the dealer brought more of the gray death and delivered it to a location in Deerfield Township, where he was immediately taken into custody.

Bobby Singleton III, 34, of Mason, was arrested and charged with one count of Trafficking in Drugs and one count of Possession of Drugs, both felonies. He may face an additional charge after the victim’s toxicology results are known. He is currently being held in the Warren County Jail without bond.

This incident is still under investigation by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and anyone with information about this case is urged to contact Lieutenant John Faine at 513-695-1522.
