Lightning Causes Fire in Hyde Park

( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- Fire crews in Hyde Park responded to reports of smoke in an attic of a home in the 3000 block of Kinmont Rd.  Everyone in the home was able to make it outside safely.

Crews reported smoke coming from the roof of the 2-story multi-family home. The bulk of the fire was extinguished within 7 minutes of the arrival of firefighters. The cause of the fire was determined to be a lightning strike. Estimated cost of the damage was set at $10,000.
