5 Year-Old Saves Parents From Heroin Overdose

(Middletown, OH)  --  Middletown Police say a five-year-old saved his parents from an overdose at their home. 

The Middletown boy found Lee Johnson and Chelsie Marshall lying unconscious on the floor in their bathroom around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say he then ran barefoot from the home in the 1900 block of Hill Avenue to his grandfather's house calling for help. 

Middletown Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw said the boys quick thinking saved not only his parents lives but a baby girl as well. Police say when they entered the home they found a three month old baby strapped in the car seat.

Both Johnson and Marshall, were revived with Narcan and now face heroin and child endangerment charges. it took k 14 hits of Narcan for officers to revive Marshall.

Marshall and Johnson face two charges of endangering children and one count of disorderly conduct with heroin. Both Johnson and Marshall are both being held on $50,000 cash bond each.
