Green Township–Chief James Vetter, Green Township Police Department and Sheriff Jim Neil, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, report a serious injury motorcycle accident which occurred on westbound Interstate 74 near Harrison Ave.
At approximately 9:16 P.M., a 2016 Victory motorcycle, operated by Shane Bagley, male/white, age 37, of the 6800 block of Peaks Edge Dr., Cincinnati, OH, was traveling westbound on Interstate 74 just east of the Harrison Ave./Rybolt Rd. exit. The motorcycle was occupied by Chastity Bagley, female/white, age 40, also of the 6800 block of Peaks Edge Dr. As the motorcycle was traveling westbound on IR 74, the rear tire failed, causing Mr. Bagley to lose control of the motorcycle. Mr. Bagley and his passenger were both thrown from the motorcycle as it fell to its side after the tire failure.
Neither the driver nor passenger were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Both driver and passenger were transported to University Hospital by Green Twp. Life Squads. Mr. Bagely is listed in serious condition. Mrs. Bagley is listed in stable condition.
Alcohol and/or speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
