( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- Fire crews responded for reports of a fire inside an auto mechanic shop in the 3700 block of Kellogg Ave. Upon arrival, crews reported an acetylene tank on fire inside the shop.
Crews used hoselines to cool the tank and prevent fire spread. The welding cart was eventually taken outside to a safe location, and the fire was fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire was a fusible plug that melted allowing gas to escape, but also prevented an explosion. The estimated cost of the damage is $3500.
