(Cincinnati, OH)--A Hamilton County judge ordered immediate efforts to stabilize a landslide that threatens homes and businesses in Mt. Adams. It collapsed a wall that had recently been under construction.
Building inspectors for the city of Cincinnati told Metropolitan Design Development a noon Friday deadline to offer plans for a fix.
The company did offer a plan, but did not authorize starting the work. That's when the city decided to take the case to court.
Judge Thomas Heekin ordered the area stabilized in a ruling late Friday.
There will be a hearing Monday to determine financial responsibility for the repairs.
Two families had to leave their homes, and owners of the City View Tavern were ordered not to use their balcony.
