(Cincinnati, Oh.)--The Cincinnati Board of Education have selected Catherine Laura Mitchell, to be the next superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools.
Mitchell, was previously the Deputy Superintendent of Cincinnati Public Schools, Prior to her current role, Laura served as a teacher, principal and program manager for the Stupski Foundation.
The Board began the search following the announcement of Superintendent Mary Ronan in November that she would retire at the end of July following nine years in the district’s top administrative position.
Mitchel will start on the job on August 1, 2017.
