Man Convicted After Deadly 2015 Hit and Run

(Cincinnati, Oh.)-A jury has convicted Thomas Cavez Stidhum, 24, in the hit an run death of Catherine Chatfield in December 2015.

Stidhum was found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide for the death of Chatfield who was taking part in a fund-raising run when he jumped the curb on Dorchester Avenue near Reading Road and struck her.

Stidhum was also found guilty of vehicular homicide charges, leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence. 

Witnesses told police Stidhum ripped the license plates off his car after striking Chatfield and ran away, he was caught about a month later. Stidhum could get up to 14 years in prison when he is sentenced on June 17. 

Chatfield, 57, from Cincinnati was taking part in the 7 Hills Run/Walk on December 6, 2015 a fund-raising run when she was killed.
