( Campbell County ) - A former northern Kentucky judge who was arrested last month was indicted Thursday on new charges including rape.
70-Year-Old Timothy Nolan of California, Kentucky, was arrested last month. He was initially charged with human trafficking and providing a minor with drugs and alcohol. A Campbell County grand jury indicted Nolan on 11 counts that now include rape and tampering with a witness.
Much of the court proceedings are being handled in Boone County because Nolan was a judge in Campbell County from 1978 to 1986. He was also elected to the Campbell County Board of Education this past November, but he resigned from that position following Thursday's indictment.
A statement from Nolan's attorney calls the charges "baseless" and promises to fight them.
