Trying to Keep Tensing Shirt Out of Upcoming Trial

(Cincinnati) It was the shirt he was wearing under his uniform the day he shot and killed Sam DuBose. Now attorneys for former University of Cincinnati Police Officer Ray Tensing are asking that the Great Smoky Mountains shirt, depicting a Confederate flag, not be allowed as evidence is his upcoming murder trial.

The t-shirt was shown to jurors during Tensing's first trial, but attorney Stu Mathews says is contains nothing of evidentiary value and is irrelevant and highly inflammatory.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for next week. Tensing's new trial is set to start May 25th.
