Miami U Students Charged with Drug Trafficking


( Oxford, Ohio ) - Police say four young men, all Miami University students, are facing charges related to drug trafficking.

Investigators in the Oxford Police Department worked with the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force for nearly six months. During the week of April 24, police say multiple search and arrest warrants were executed. 

Arrested were:

21-Year-Old Brett Balick of Matthews, NC - trafficking in drugs
22-Year-Old William Berg of Columbus, OH - trafficking in drugs
21-Year-Old Eric Dewinter of Rye, NY - trafficking in drugs
19-Year-Old Roman Sembay of Strongsville, OH - drug possession

Police say the men were trafficking both prescription drugs and cocaine. Additional charges are expected.
