I-71 Now Open After Bridge Demolition

UPDATE

(Warren County, Oh.)-- Interstate 71 in Warren County is now back open after the final piece of the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge was imploded Sunday. The final span was partially imploded last Sunday but more charges were needed to take down the structure completely.

O-Dot is now set to have crews take the span apart in pieces using a crane, to avoid having to blast the structure again. The highway is now back open.

(Warren County, Oh.)--One week after attempting to take down the old span of the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge in Warren County crews are back today to finish the job.

One portion of the old span did not fall last Sunday after a faulty connection failed to set off some of the charges.

The highway is closed from ST. RT. 48 to RT. 73 in both directions.

The closure is expected to last from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
