Full Weekend Closure of I-71 North Starts Tonight

( Hamilton County, OH ) – Deck patching on the Brent Spence Bridge and work in the Lytle Tunnel will require a full closure of I-71 northbound this weekend.

Beginning at 10pm Friday, April 28, the 4th Street ramp in Covington will be closed in addition to a single right lane closure on northbound I-71 across the Brent Spence Bridge.

Then at 11pm, a full closure of northbound I-71 will be in effect, including closures of the 2nd Street on and off-ramps and through the Lytle Tunnel.

The I-471 on-ramp will remain open, but there will be construction in the left lanes of northbound I-71 from the tunnel to SR 562.

Traffic will be detoured using northbound I-75 to the Norwood Lateral.

All lanes will be open to traffic at 8am Sunday, April 30.

REMINDER: TRUCK DETOUR - All northbound I-75/I-71 trucks use I-75 to SR 562 back to I-71 or I-275 to I-471 back to I-71 until approximately September, 2017.
