Contractors Sued for Alleged Paving Scam

(Cincinnati, OH)--Two men accused of running a driveway paving scheme are being sued by the Ohio Attorney General's office.

James C. Boswell and Edward Boswell are accused of violating state consumer protection laws. The state said they failed to deliver promised services, performed shoddy work, and failed to notify consumers about cancellation rights.

The suit said that the Boswells did business as Discount Paving, and operated in the Tri-State and the Miami Valley. The suit was filed after 30 consumer complaints were filed with local police or the attorney general's office.

DeWine called for reimbursement, and issued an injunction against further violations. He also forbids the Boswells from further transactions until consumers are repaid.

James C. Boswell is already jailed for similar violations.
