Terroristic Threats in Taylor Mill

( TAYLOR MILL, KY)  -- Starting this past weekend, threats were made to Scott High School and Woodland Middle School over social media.

A suspect had used Snapchat to make threats to the school such as bombings, shootings, and kidnappings. Other students had seen these messages over the Snapchat app and informed their parents or school administrators.

Taylor Mill police issued a search warrant to Snapchat to be able to look through the person's account and found the evidence they needed to make an arrest last night, April 26. The suspect has since confessed to the crime and is being charged with 9 felony counts of making terroristic threats.

There has been a police presence at the a police presence at the schools this week to help students feel safe. While attendance has been down at the schools this week as tensions have been high, a school representative says yesterday saw a bit of an uptick of students coming back to class.
