Feds: Arrest at CVG of Suspect Trying to Help ISIS

( Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky International Airport ) - The US Department of Justice says a Dayton, Ohio, man suspected of trying to help terrorists was arrested at Cincinnati's airport.

According to a statement from US Attorney Benjamin Glassman, 26-year-old Laith Waleed Alebbini was taken into custody on Wednesday evening. He's accused of trying to provide material support to ISIS. 

Alebbini is a citizen of Jordan, but a legal permanent resident of the US as of 2014. He's accused of trying to get to Syria by way of a flight to Turkey or Jordan to fight alongside ISIS. 

He's scheduled to make a first appearance in federal court on Thursday afternoon.
