ORIGINAL STORY:
(Blanchester) The suspect in a Blanchester kidnapping is going before a judge.
Police say 45-year-old Dennis Dunn abducted his neighbor and held her captive in a pit underneath his shed. The pit was allegedly covered by wood and heavy objects to keep her trapped.
The woman was reported missing on Wednesday morning and was rescued a few hours later after a different neighbor heard her cries for help and called police.
Dunn was held without bond overnight in the Clinton County Jail. Investigators say he has a history of mental health issues.
The victim was taken to the hospital to be checked out and was released.
