Former Judge Faces Human Trafficking Counts

(Campbell County, KY)--Timothy Nolan was a district judge in the 1970's and 1980's. In November, he was elected to the Campbell County Board of Education.

Now, the former judge is charged with underage human trafficking.

Investigators said Timothy Nolan, 70, subjected an underage person to commercial sexual activity last August.  He also allegedly had sex with a minor, and is accused of giving alcohol to a minor.

Nolan was in court Friday, and pleaded not guilty. He was later released.

The case is being handled through the Special Prosecution Division of Attorney General Andy Beshear's office.

Nolan will have a preliminary hearing May 5 in Boone District Court.
