Work Progressing on Union Terminal Rehab

(Cincinnati, OH)--Cincinnati Museum Center leaders released an update on repairs to Union Terminal Friday.

The museum said cranes and lifts are all around the building.

Limestone and bricks have been removed, revealing structural steel. Those areas are being waterproofed. The stones will be replaced once the waterproofing is completed.

The museum added that outdated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are being replaced.  Five new boilers will be installed to supply heat.

Inside the terminal, workers are enlarging the hallway near the entrance to the special exhibition gallery and the lower level of the Museum of Science and Natural History.
