Walnut Hills Murder Was Race Related

"Totally disgusting"is how Prosecutor Joe Deters describes the murder of a driver in Walnut Hills after an accident on Kenton Street. Two men have been indicted for beating and killing Jamie Urton. The prosecutor says Urton was attacked because he is white. His car had been involved in an accident where a boy was struck and the people who attacked him told a passenger in the vehicle to get out of there because he was black.

The father of the boy who was struck, Jamal Killings is one of the people facing charges and is in custody. The other man has been identified as Deonte Baber and he is the suspected gunman. Baber is not in custody and Deters says there is a $7500 reward for information on where he is hiding out.

The prosecutor joined Bill Cunningham on Newsradio 700WLW to discuss the case. Listen here.
