American Upgrades CVG Service

AMERICAN AIRLINES UPGRADES AIRCRAFT FLYING BETWEEN CINCINNATI AND DALLAS/FORT WORTH

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines is upgrading aircraft at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG) to include increased seating capacity for direct flights to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

American will operate two of the four daily flights between CVG and DFW with mainline MD-80 aircraft, which seat 140 passengers. The other two daily flights will be services using the Embraer 175, which seats 76 passengers. These upgrades will add 52 more seats per day in CVG. The larger aircraft offers customers the choice of First Class seats, Main Cabin Extra seats with more legroom and Wi-Fi on select aircraft.

With this upgraded schedule, American will now serve 8 destinations from CVG with 33 peak-day flights. American is investing $3 billion in the customer experience adding more all-aisle access; fully lie-flat seats; international Wi-Fi; more in-flight entertainment options and power outlets; and improved food and beverage offerings.

“We are delighted that American is upgrading their service between CVG and Dallas/Fort Worth,” said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer, CVG. “Introducing the larger mainline MD-80 aircraft along with increased use of the Embraer E-175 will increase their capacity on the route by more than 35 percent this summer travel season.”
