(Florence, KY)--Boone County deputies released the names of victims from a Friday night accident. The collision was between a minivan and pick-up truck at Weaver Rd. and Sam Neace Rd.
One person was killed and five were transported to area hospitals.
Cheryl Jeffers, 50, of Williamstown, was a passenger in the minivan. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Christina Jeffers, 17, of Williamstown, and Jason Wesley, 2, of Independence, were transported to U. C. Medical Center. They were transferred to Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Deputies said the minivan failed to yield the right-of-way to the pick-up.
The road was closed for about three hours Friday night.`
