(Cincinnati) They seized nearly 300 pounds of designer drugs during the month of March. Cincinnati Border Patrol and Customs officers say they've intercepted 83 shipments of drugs, including 36 pounds of fentanyl and 233 pounds of the date rape drug GBL.
The shipments came from China and were destined for 17 locations throughout the U.S and Canada, all passing through Cincinnati.
Port Director Steven Thompson says the recent effort was designed to stop the flow of synthetic drugs to popular Spring Break destinations.
