City Manager: Cameo Surrenders Liquor License

( East End ) - No more booze at Cameo, at least for now.

A statement released on Monday afternoon from Cincinnati City Manager Harry Black says:

"Cameo has voluntarily surrendered their liquor license to the CPD Vice unite who is en route to the (sic) Columbus to turn it in to the State of Ohio. Once the state processes the paperwork this means that there is no more liquor permit and they would have to reapply for a new one, a process that takes months.

Additionally, the owner has indicated the club will remain closed until the CPD investigation is complete."

Agents with the Ohio Department of Liquor Control reported on Monday that Cameo nightclub has been cited for drug abuse and possession violations before. Agents who inspected the club after Sunday's shooting say they found marijuana in plain view along with partially smoked marijuana in an employee-only section.

Also, another person has come forward to say that they were injured in the shooting, putting the total of people with gunshot injuries at 17, with one of them having died.

Police Chief Eliot Isaac told the Cincinnati City Council Public Safety Committee on Monday that he's "confident" that investigators will find the people who are responsible.
