(Marietta, GA)--Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board responded to a suburban Atlanta area Saturday. They wanted to find the cause of an airplane crash. The plane, which departed Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, was en route to Atlanta when it crashed Friday night.
Investigators said it was a single-engine Cessna which crashed into a lawn. The resulting explosion set a nearby house on fire.
No one was home when the house burned.
The pilot was killed. Investigators have not released a name.
