(Cincinnati, Oh.)--The Cincinnati Police officer who was shot while on duty last weekend has been released from the hospital.
Cincinnati police Officer Kenneth Grubbs left the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Tuesday. He underwent emergency surgery Sunday after he was shot at an apartment complex on Gilbert Ave.
Police say Damion McRae, 37. ‘ambushed’ officer Grubbs as he responded to domestic disturbance call in the 2600 block of Gilbert Avenue.
McRae, was also shot in the exchange of gunfire with officer Grubbs and was wounded, he underwent surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and has not yet been released.
He is facing charges of attempted murder and having weapons under disability.
