(Cincinnati, Oh.)--It's your chance to be in Robert Redford's latest movie "The Old Man and The Gun."
An open call will be held Thursday, March 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Xavier University's Gallagher Student Center.
Film crews are looking for extras and a Redford body double to be in the movie, according to Kristen Schlotman the Executive Director of Film Cincinnati. Schlotman says with the A-List cast involved in this project she expects to see a lot of people jump at the opportunity to be a part of the film, "Casey Affleck just won the Oscar, this is Robert Redford's last film as an actor, as he is retiring after this, so think it's the chance of a lifetime."
She says they would like potential extras to come dressed in their best 70's period clothing. Anyone with a 70's period car is also encouraged to bring a photo of the vehicle. "This is a period film loosely based on a true story" Schlotman says its "about an old bank robber, so you can imagine their will be bank tellers and people of the town" adding "which is why we are looking for all different kinds of people".
Schlotman says, they are holding the open casting call to reach out to as many regional people in the film as possible She says the film industry has been picking up steam in the Cincinnati area as "We had over 10 major motion pictures last year and we are on pace to do just as well in 2017".
