(Cincinnati, Oh.)--The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, is opening the application process for their Jewish Innovation Fund Today (March 6, 2017).
The application period to receive the“macro-grants” for large-scale initiatives and “micro-grants” for smaller projects opens on March 6 and closes on April 6, 2017.
"The Jewish Federation "overall raises funds to provide support to local and global needs says Danielle Minson the Chief Development Officer at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. One of the initiatives that we are taking on right now is through our fundraising efforts, is called the Jewish Innovation fund." She say the money in the fund is distributed as seed funding for "Jewish-based innovative ideas that would enrich communal life and solve some critical issues".
Four local people/organizations won start-up capital to successfully launch their innovative projects in Cincinnati in 2016 to enrich Jewish life or address Jewish and community needs.
The Federation secured 12 donors to fund the program in Cincinnati. The "macro-grants" offered this year range from $10,000 to $50,000 in "seed capital for the non-profit ventures that have bold ideas to enrich Jewish life or address Jewish and community needs". The "micro-grants" offered this year range between $500 to $1,500 Minson says, and the bold ideas will also ensure "donors will actually be able see and touch the impact of their dollars."
The applications will then be reviewed by the donors who will decide on which projects they wanted to fund. For more information on the Grants and how to apply click here.
