Madison Student Charged with Making Terroristic Threats

(Butler County, OH)--A ninth-grader at Madison High School is charged with making terrorist threats, and police said he invoked the name of a school shooter.

Deputies said that the boy had an argument with another student, and threatened an "Austin Hancock version two" at the school.  Hancock was the student who fired a gun inside the school one year ago, injuring four students.

The alleged threat happened just a few hours before the one-year anniversary of the Hancock shooting.

Madison Local school leaders said that the verbal threats happened Wednesday, March 1.  The arrest happened off campus, and no Madison students or staff were in danger.

The 15-year-old was in court Friday, but did not enter a plea. He has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for March 13.
