( Butler County ) - Police in Hamilton got a call the morning of February 23 from a teen girl saying she just shot her father. He died, and now the Butler County prosecutor says he wants her tried as an adult.
Prosecutor Michael Gmoser released a statement on Friday explaining his reasons why. Gmoser says the motion has more to do with the investigative process, saying if "the court elects not to transfer, the charge of aggravated murder is decided in juvenile court with all the attendant secrecy that accompanies such proceedings." Gmoser says the court seldom makes that transfer request, and most often, it falls on the prosecutor.
