Police now have a robbery suspect in custody they were searching for this weekend. They report 37-year-old Kevin Gabbard was taken into custody earlier this evening.
Police in Fairfield are searching for a robbery suspect. They reported 37-year-old Kevin Gabbard and Shawna Marie Maco stole televisions from the Bridgewater Falls Target store Saturday afternoon. Maco was taken into custody when the two were spotted just after the robbery, but investigators said Gabbard fled on foot then hopped into a police cruiser and sped away. Officers said Gabbard robbed a barbershop on Central Ave. before ditching the cruiser, which was later recovered by police. Officers believe Gabbard is armed with a knife and anyone who spots him should immediately call 9-1-1.
