( Hamilton, OH ) - A 14 year-old girl has been charged with aggravated murder, following the death of her father.
Mariah Ponder called 911 early this morning (audio below), and told dispatch that she had shot her father.
Police responded to a home at 1217 Millville Ave and found 72 year-old James Allen Ponder still alive. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. He was flown to the hospital where he later died.
Mariah Ponder is currently being held at Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.
No motive has been released. The case is still under investigation.
