( Washington ) - The Associated Press has released the draft memo it obtained that says the Trump Administration is considering mobilizing National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants in nearly a dozen states. The memo indicates that some 100,000 troops would be deployed as far north as Oregon and as far east as Louisiana.

According to the memo, governors in eleven states: California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana would have a choice whether or not their troops would participate.

The Associated Press has release the full memo. Read it HERE.

After reporting details of the memo, White House spokesman Sean Spicer told the Associated Press that the report is "100% not true" and that it's "irresponsible." The reporter told Spicer that multiple requests for comment from both the White House and Department of Homeland Security were not returned.

Staffers in the Department of Homeland Security say the proposal was discussed as recently as a week ago.
