( Cincinnati, OH ) - The Cincinnati Zoo says that baby Fiona had a little more energy Thursday morning and has shown some suckling response.
The baby hippo was born 6 weeks premature last month. She still requires around the clock care until she is strong enough to stand and nurse on her own.
Zoo officials say many people have asked what they can do to help. The zoo is asking that you consider making a donation to help with the cost of the 24-hour-a-day critical care.
