Boon County, Kentucky Judge Gary Moore with the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation said to 700 WLW today "The capital investment of this project is 1.49 Billion dollars, this is the largest announcement in the history of the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation, in our 30 year history."
He says this project is transformational " We believe that having a world distribution system in our region will help drive manufacturing jobs, I could see company's that want to produce a product being very close to this distribution network".
The contract was brokered between Amazon and CVG as well as the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation and Kentucky Governor Mat Beven. Moore says the site at CVG was ideal as due to its flat available land with runway access played a huge roll in the site being chosen.
