Forgery, Theft Charges for Hamilton Firefighter

( Hamilton, Ohio ) - Not many details have been released, but the City of Hamilton announced on Thursday evening that one of its firefighters has been indicted.

A statement from Hamilton Public Safety Director Scott Scrimizzi says that a grand jury has indicted Anthony Houston on four felony counts of forgery and one felony count of theft. Scrimizzi says the prosecutor was notified of a problem by the administration of the Hamilton Fire Department, and after the indictments were returned, Houston was relieved of duty on Thursday afternoon.

He's now on paid administrative leave pending a pre-disciplinary hearing and the outcome of the criminal charges.
