A Bigger Reward to Find 9-Year-Old's Killer

( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- After the shooting death of 9-year-old Alexandria Thompson in Mount Auburn, police have been asking for help finding her killer.

There have been no updates yet in the investigation, but the reward from Crime Stoppers has been boosted by Mayor John Cranley and members of city council to the maximum amount of $2,500.

Councilman Christopher Smitherman, who donated to the reward and is the chairman of the Law and Public Safety Committee, said he respects Crime Stoppers, but would like the maximum reward raised when dealing with dead children.

Smitherman said a resolution will be put before the Law and Public Safety Committee next week to ask Crime Stoppers to raise the cap for the reward so that others may donate more money to help find Thompson's killer.

If you have any information regarding the shooting death of Alexandria Thompson, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-352-3040. Your identity will always remain anonymous when giving tips to Crime Stoppers.
