Streets Renamed for King Records Artists

( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- Three streets in Evanston were renamed to honor three former King Records recording artists and the musical history of Cincinnati.

On hand at the event to present the street signs were Mayor John Cranley, city council members Yvette Simpson, Wendell Young, and Chris Seelbach, and Evanston neighborhood President Anzora Adkins.

Otis Williams Place is now at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Gilbert Avenue as he grew up on Lincoln Avenue. Bootsy Collins Way is now at the intersection of Hackberry and Madison Road as Bootsy grew up on Hackberry. Phillip Paul Place at the intersection of Potter Place and Woodburn Avenue because it is close to King Studio. Paul was born in New York and now lives in Cincinnati.
