( NEWPORT, KY ) -- Ei8ht Ball Brewing is officially closing its doors later this winter. Ei8ht Ball says they will be moving the brewery to make room for a local craft distiller to move into its place. The new distillers say they will hire all of the taproom employees from Ei8ht Ball.
Owners of Ei8ht Ball Brewing, New Riff Distillery, says they are going to move forward with plans to build a brewpub in West Newport, which will cost $9 million.
No official closing date has been given by Ei8ht Ball Brewing.
