( Mt Auburn ) - A little girl is dead and her father injured after a shooting on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to a home on Burnet near McGregor around 5:30 on reports of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a 39-year-old man and his 9-year-old daughter both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, but the child, identified as Alexandrea Thompson, died from her injuries.
There's no word on any suspects.
